2 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c.suga
1 (#303) can fruit cocktail (juice and all)

mix all ingredients with spoon and pour into a 9 x 13 pan

Topping:
Mix brown sugar and nuts and sprinkle on top. Bake about 40 to 45 minutes at
350.

Serve with whip cream or this glaze 3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c.canned milk
1 stick of Margarine or butter
Mix above, bring to a boil and boil 1 minute.  Pour over hot cake.  Cool and
serve.

This is known as a Dump Cake. This is a easy ,fun and good cake. You can make a 
cake recipe from scratch or use a cake mix of any flavor.  Make sure you drain
your fruit.  Add fruit to your cake mix once it is in your pan.  Bake according 
to directions.  The fruit might add a little baking time to your cake.  You can 
then top it with cool whip or with ice cream of choice.  For the 4th of July a
combination of blue berries and strawberries are too much fun.  Tastes

Fruit Cocktail Cake (from scratch)
2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (19 ounce) can fruit cocktail
1 1/3 cups sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl, combine fruit cocktail (juice included), sugar, eggs and
vanilla and stir until well mixed.

Combine flour, salt and soda and gradually add to fruit mixture.

Stir until well combined.

Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch baking pan and bake for about 45
minutes or until cake starts to pull away from the sides of the pan.

Cool completely and frost with Cool Whip.

Store in refrigerator.
