10. Vintage Recipes

Be sure to check out our vintage recipe archive online at:
http://bit.ly/1vDXn6h. Over 1200 wonderful vintage recipes are listed. Email
recipes@tias.com if you would like to submit a recipe.

As with collectibles, people also have very strong feelings about foods from
their past. Sometimes these special recipes get lost. This section is to help
people who are looking for lost recipes from their past. If you submit a
request, please include the geographical region where you tasted the recipe.
If you have a vintage recipe request send it to recipes@tias.com and we might
just publish it here.

Francine W sent this in:
"I love old cookbooks. They tell an every day story of life in the past if you
read between the lines. One cookbook I have from 1934 published by General
Mills has pictures and signatures of then-famous celebs along with interesting
menu ideas and recipes. There's a very different looking Betty Crocker, Emily
Post (a sketch of her profile), and even Busby Berkeley surrounded by scantily
clad women [lol]. He says: I advise the girls I used in "Wonder Bar" and all
Warner Brothers' big musical productions to eat bread three times a day---all
kinds of breads. Chorus girls have got to keep up their energy and vitality.
That means their looks and figures, too. Sincerly, (signed) Busby Berkeley"

TIAS.com merchants have thousands of cookbooks for sale! You can
