Here's an interesting store from Darlene A of White Rock, NM: "As a little girl
growing up in rural Mississippi, I had little money and even less knowledge
about collecting, but it must have been part of my DNA. I started carefully
looking at the gravel in our driveway, collecting the pieces that looked pretty
or unusual, and putting them in an old purse my mother gave me. Years later, I
saw used Limoges trinket boxes for sale in a shop in France. I could only
afford to buy one or two even though they were very reasonably priced. They
were so delicately pretty, and it was tough to leave the others behind! This
began my collecting of trinket boxes of all sizes, styles, and materials. And,
yes, I still like gravel and rocks!"
