Hi Daryl!

BM> Had a bit of 'fun' here: derecho storm through the entire state of Iowa
BM> Monday ==> winds locally 96 MPH and IIRC Cedar Rapids 107 MPH. Did
BM> good until the neighbour's pine tree (about 45' tall) snapped about 12'
BM> from the base: snagged a power line and broke it. There goes the
 BM> power!
DS> Glad you're OK...I saw where it flattened a bunch of grain
DS> elevators, flipped a bunch of 18 wheeler tractor trailers, and
DS> put nearly 2 million people without power.

Thanks! -- Kinda funny but things worse than I thought in other parts
of the state: didn't find out until recently Cedar Rapids really got
hit hard. Local news did indicate widespread, the entire state had been
affected; power outage report was pretty much the local cities and
counties plus Des Moines. OTOH I also did not watch the entire news as
trying to conserve the battery running the TV; did watch some shows for
pleasant distraction.

... A MAJOR TECHNOLOGICAL BREAKTHROUGH - It works OK but looks very hi-tech. ---
