Barry,

DS> Is more than one ba a tuba?? <G>

BM> Possibly, and an extra large one is a tubby!

  If gotten by phone, it's a tele-tubby. <G>

BM> Ah: you've seen those commercials! In general I think the 'defund the
BM> police' is wrong -- who is going to protect from burgulars, etc.? I do
BM> agree some officers, probably some police departments, are overzealous, use
BM> excessive force, and that needs to be corrected.

There are bad apples in every barrel...race, occupation, gender, etc.

BM> I couldn't do emergency type calls: I don't like stress so tend to
BM> avoid it; I tend to take some things personally and get me <piddled>
BM> off and there can be an explosion.

Same here. Now, when Nancy Backus said in a message, in response to the
QWK Tagline "I took an IQ test, and the results were negative"...she typed "that
explains a lot <g,d,r>". I admit I left myself wide open for that,
and she said "I hope you realized it was all in fun"...and I said "I had
to chuckle". But, we only pick on and razz the ones we care about.

BM> Yes, I wouldn't mind a little more 'free' money, though I do tend to wonder
BM> where this money is coming from. Checkbooks only have so much black ink.

States balance their budgets...but on the federal level, there hasn't
been one since Clinton was in there. To me, the lowest point of his
presidency was the zipper on his pants...he did "blow the job" with Monica.

DS> You'll win the lottery, and spend all the winnings on the
DS> Sysop, and their BBS. <G>

 BM> Ah!

That doesn't work between competing Sysops. :P

BM> Hmm: sticky-up mass of semi-reasonably conductive protoplasm, pushing
BM> around a metal mass.... Good thing wearing sneakers and the lawn mover has
 BM> rubber wheels!!
DS> With the gasoline in it, any extra spark will cause an
 DS> explosive fire.

BM> Just adds to the event!

That was part of Jeff Dunham's routine with Achmed and A.J. :P Achmed
should've known not to use his cellphone.

BM> That was considerate of you. There are people in worse situations.

Thank you. With the money at the store this morning, and 3 outstanding
bills, which I have the money to pay for, I'm officially bankrupt until
Monday. But, at least I have food and drink here. The thing is, with the
stormy weather forecast, after today, I'm going out for the weekly Low-T
shot in the morning, but then I probably will stay home until next Monday.

DS> Or, "show me a home where the buffalo roam...and I'll show you
DS> a home full of buffalo [dung]". :P

BM> This carpet feels so soft and squishy!

And, it's tan colored as well. :P

BM> We've been under a "First Alert Day" this weekend: air temperature in
BM> the low 90's and heat indices just over 100°. Today (Sunday) more of
BM> the same. Woke up to 76° which I think is the warmest wake-up-to
 BM> temperature this year.

Moderate fire danger exists in northwest Arkansas, but the northern part
of the state is forecast to get a lot of rain the rest of the week. If the
cold front moves further into the state, the heavy rain axis will be across
my area.

DS> The birds always wait until you're done washing it, before they
 DS> bomb it!!

BM> That way they new shot doesn't get confused and mingled with the old!

  I'm glad I don't drive a convertible. :P

DS> No [dung] -- or would that be plenty of it?? :P

BM> Well I tend to create sufficient!

If you eat a lot, especially fiber, I would think so.
