NB>> And then, on the 4th... there were fireworks everywhere... all through
NB>> the neighborhood.... all day and well into the night... :) From the
NB>> sound, some were legal... from the sight over the trees, some not...
DS> I talked to a fellow ham radio operator in Penfield, New York. He
DS> said that "the small ones (fireworks) are OK, but 'the big boomers' are
DS> not". Yet, folks go across the state line to Pennsylvania for "the good
DS> stuff", and bring it back. Both fireworks and illegal drugs, are impossible
DS> to keep out.
Or they buy them at the reservations....
DS> A home in Tulsa caught fire from errant fireworks sparks, and burned
DS> the ground. Yet, folks in the area, just kept shooting fireworks off.
DS> Pure unadulerated selfishness.
And or lack of thought... There are places where fireworks can be
relatively safely fired off, and other places where it is totally
foolhardy....
NB>> No, that was her words, when she called the morning of to cancel that
NB>> last appointment....
DS> I try to give my doctors advance notice of a change or cancellation.
DS> Some places charge you a hefty no-show fee.
She WAS the provider, I the client... :) I likewise try to give
sufficent notice.... I don't think any of my doctors charge a no-show
fee, but then I've never tested that out by doing it...
