Hi Daryl!
DS> All computers wait at the same speed. And, if there were no
DS> messages, your whimpering would likely be louder. <G>
BM> Until the neighbours wonder what's going on?!
DS> That has been the case with you around the clock. <g,d,r>
At least I'm consistent!
DS> Crusoe, the celebrity dachshund, wanted payment in dog treats. <G>
BM> That works just as well!
DS> Well, dachshunds are stubborn, and want to do it that way.
In the human world that would be knowna as a deal-breaker.
DS> Basically, I was to do all the giving, and she was to do all the
DS> taking. That kind of relationship does NOT work.
BM> As the tagline says, beware of monologs masquerading as dialogs.
BM> Should always be a two way communication and understanding.
DS> Otherwise, it's like one having power over the other one.
IMO a relationship (any: marital, friend, work) should be 50-50 (well,
work probably not 50-50 but should have communication), though average
out and not per item. Usually one person will do most of the cooking
and the other will do most of something else (say yardwork). Highly
lopsided in the specifics, but should average out overall.
BM> There are times when an inexpensive meal is just as satisfying if not
BM> more so than an expensive one. As Janice said, food is food. Sure,
BM> want it cooked properly and presentation and atmosphere add to the
BM> experience, but sometimes a hamburger is more mentally satisfying than
BM> a steak.
DS> Plus, you can get full quicker.
<chuckle> Ages ago we went with another couple for a bit of a 'night on
the town'. Went to a high-end restaurant; ...meal came, we thought the
main course was another appetizer: something like two skinny carrot
sticks, three asparagus spears, a nickel-sized medallion of steak.
