NB>> Hugs are necessary for mental health, after all.... :)
DS> But, with the spike in COVID-19 cases all over the place, it might
DS> mean the death knell of square dancing and other hobbies that require close
DS> contact.
The spike isn't happening where I am... eventually things will flatten
out other places as well.... so not a death knell, just a put on hold
for longer than we'd like.... :)
NB>> Perhaps constant cleaning and sanitizing is more than is actually
NB>> needed... regular rather than constant might be enough... ;)
DS> Well, it's hard enough getting folks to clean up after the dance.
DS> Most are older and disabled (as I am), and it's hard to do work. I
DS> bring either my cane or my walker to a dance, because it's hard to
DS> get up after sitting for a time. In fact, I have the walker next to
DS> my bed.
Probably a good idea... :)
NB>>> ... No wanna do housework, wanna bang on keyboard
DS>> I resemble that tagline. <G>
NB>> No doubt many of us do... ;)
DS> When I feel the urge to clean, I lie down until it goes away. <G>
DS> While I'm not in squalor, and don't intend to let it get that run down...at
DS> least at my late parents home, I don't have to worry about monthly
DS> inspections.
That's a relief... :)
DS> Right now, the grass is getting tall, but I can't afford to have
DS> the lawn done right now. If Code Enforcement throws a fit, I'll ask
DS> them if they can survive on $1100 a month. They likely will say "No",
DS> and I'll reply "I rest my case".
Is there any organization in town that provides services to disabled/elderly...?
Maybe you could find someone to do it as a
generous service..... :)
