Hi Daryl!
BM> Siding -- still waiting on that. Only a few panels to be replaced and
BM> so has to match. Gutter guys were also supposed to do that but the
BM> panels they brought were the wrong colour: ours is a light gray and
BM> they were give a medium gray. Did find out the guy at the office who
BM> was supposed to be doing the corrections and research had been fired; we're
BM> just caught up in the residue.
DS> I remember the joke about the guy who went to this elderly
DS> woman's place to sell a vacuum cleaner. She told him she wasn't interested,
DS> and didn't have the money. Yet, he was insistent, and
DS> pushed his way inside. He proceeded to dump a bunch of manure on
DS> the carpet, and said to her "If this vacuum doesn't clean up this
DS> mess, I will eat the remainder".
DS> She dryly replied "I hope you're hungry...the electricity was
DS> turned off this morning". <G>
Maybe that was his problem: his computer waas on but not plugged in! I
could sort of see the error matching the siding colour: the spare panel
we gave them has the colour name on it but they reuse names: back when I
was living with my parents my Mother and I had cars with the paint name
being "Cinnamon Bronze" but mine was definitely a brownish tan and her's
was a brownish red.
As for why we don't use the spare siding panels, short pieces. Might
'have' to be used eventually -- the insurance company representative is
trying to find stock to match, so properly full length panels.
